Love the look and feel of the club, had Taylormade install a Mitsubishi Tensei Chemical blue shaft 70 HVY instead of the stock shaft when i ordered; I have the GAPR Lo 17. Use it mainly off the tee with bullet straight shots that carry 230-235 for me, consistently over drive my partners. Just purchased a GAPR 4 Mid as well. I can't hit driver or woods consistently, problem solved of the tee with these club. Thank you Taylormade.
Feels great, goes far, and is much more forgiving than expected. Easy to flight down and easier to shape shots than expected as well. Just needs some getting used to before taking it to the course.
Put the GAPR Low 3 in my bag the beginning of the season and it has been my go to on tight par 4’s and love it on long approach shots. Very easy club to hit. Love it since I have never found a hybrid that I was comfortable with!!!
From Par 4 tees to Par 5 fairways, this club is magic. I find it to very forgiving and capable of reaching distances that don't seem logical with a long iron. Low penetrating ball flight makes it perfect for shots into the wind or heavy crosswinds. I chose to pair the club with Nippon Modus Tour 120 shafts to match my iron set and that seems to have been a good choice. My initial plan was to drop the 5wood from my bag and have an alternate for 3wood in windy conditions. First round played with the gapr made me realize that it is more a 3 wood replacement and viable substitute for driver when appropriate.
This club looks great, is easy to hit and goes forever! I needed something to plug into the space between my 4 iron and 3 wood and it fit perfectly. It goes grrat off the turf or off the tee! I'm a scratch player, but would recommend for anyone!
OK so the bad first. I am disappointed that I cannot get a 2 iron in the model club that I have but the GAPR absolutely does the trick instead. The online process was painless and the delivery sequence was very simple. The quality of the club goes without saying. It is a bit of a challenge visually to look at with the wide shoe and square back but it plays like a dream.
