Bought a this in September 2020 from my local club. I have less than 10 rounds under my belt, but have approx 5-6 paint chips. My local club reached out to Taylormade rep for warranty, but the rep never responded. My club apologized profusely and encouraged me to contact Taylormade direct. I submitted a warranty claim and am awaiting a response. The putter design is fantastic. ItÂ’s so easy to put a ball on your line. It exudes confidence at address. However, I struggle to understand why the paint on this putter performs as poorly as it does. From what I read, it appears this issue is widespread. Fair to say golfers expect much more when spending this much for a putter.

I got a spider x in October of this year. Always put the head cover on before putting back in my bag. Literally couldnÂ’t be more careful with it, and it looks like it's 5 years old. The chalk paint has chips on the corners. It rolls great but if you don't want to see chips don't buy this putter. I did a lot of research and was so excited to get this putter and couldn't be more disappointed, not to mention the huge amount of money I paid

I have on my had this putter for 6-7 months I love the performance but the paint job isnÂ’t big quality I always keep a head cover on the putter and there are a lot of paint chips and missing paint areas

I bought it two months ago. Grateful the putter headcover stays intact, unlike the previous spider. Rolls great, love the look....except for the paint has already started chipping at the corners and hosel....I have babied this putter from day one! Still love the way it rolls but disappointed that my X Chalk looks so battered already!

However noticed a small chip soon after getting it on the leading edge above the face of the putter. Now it seems like everyone I look at it thereÂ’s more and more chips and it is only getting worse. Really frustrating considering the fact that I couldnÂ’t be happier with the performance of the putter. Will be keeping, but always want my clubs to look tip top as well.

i bought this at my local golf shop and got fitted perfectly i love the look of this putter and with my erc solf ball and the nice mid size line that goes through the middle of the putter i hole almost every put. I love the feel and sound and the consistent roll is just amazing for it being so heavy!!!!!

Ball rolls end over end smooth and true. Alignment is easier to see with the long single sight line and contrasting colors. Combined with Pix ball, my putts have a better chance to drop versus my 10 year Spider Rosa. 4 stars because I preferred a center shaft putter not offered currently in Spider X.

I played two rounds without the cover and it looks like it's ten years old. The chalk paint, the bright white, and even the black on the weights in the back. Why even paint it t all if it is going to chip so easily. It rolls great but if you don't want to see chips don't buy this putter. I have a three year old Nike driver that is often without a cover and it doesn't have a scratch on it. I did a lot of research and was so excited to get this putter and couldn't be more disappointed, not to mention the $375 I paid. I took it back to Golf Galaxy and they said they could send it back to Taylor Made but if you admit to using it without the cover they won't do anything. I have never written a review in my life but wish I saw one like this before I bought it.
