TP5 VS TP5x: HOW TEAM TM DECIDED ON THEIR GOLF BALL

We’ve documented Nelly’s switch to TP5x from every angle and the validation keeps writing itself. Nelly has gained +1.8 strokes approach this season and has hit 76.76% of greens – both second on tour. During an 18-hole practice round on Monday, she played the famed par threes of Riviera in 3-under par.

In total, nine Team TM athletes in the field play TP5x. We spoke with Senior Tour Manager Ryan Ressa about why he thinks this is a trend on the LPGA Tour and he said it boils down to the distance and length they get out of the TP5x. TP5x is designed to deliver unparalleled low spin and distance off the tee, while players like Brooke Henderson and Miranda Wang rely on our softest and fastest ever TP5.
