Q: What is it about working in the Canadian golf industry that keeps you Beyond Driven?

A: I have always been drawn to the ‘business’ of golf and the responsibilities that come with being involved with the golf in Canada. I am so lucky to be able to work in such a wonderful environment, how can you not be “Beyond Driven”

Q: What advice would you give to other TaylorMade staff professionals who want to continually evolve as a professional?

A: Always be ready and willing to learn, continuously develop yourself, as that never stops. I’m also a big believer in getting involved in your industry, you get to see from the inside what issues or direction the business is heading. I’d also say, that one should always ‘give back’ to an industry which has given me so much.

Q: What sets TaylorMade apart from other brands?

A: TaylorMade is never satisfied with where they are currently ‘at’. It is never easy being the one to be leading the charge or pushing the limits (as it opens you up for criticism and sometimes failure)…but they truly believe in driving to be the best.

Lindsay Knowlton, Founder, Iron Lady Golf PGA of Canada, Class A Professional

Q: Give us a little background on your golf story—where/when; mentors coming up; etc.

A: I started playing golf when I was 14, my dad was a huge part of getting me into the

sport. I played all day every day in the summer with all of my little friends and as a result,

improved my game quickly! I played for Team Ontario, Canada’s National Team, and got

a full scholarship to Ohio State University where I was captain and earned All-American

honours. In 2004 I won a silver medal at the World Championships.

Q: What is it about working in the Canadian golf industry that keeps you Beyond Driven?

A: I am SO passionate about helping more women say “yes” to golf, helping them feel part of a community. That is why I started Iron Lady Golf 10 years ago - today it has helped over 20,000 women learn to play golf.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share?

A: Aligning myself with a brand that shares and lives the same values is something that is key to positive growth. I feel so honoured and excited to be a part of the TaylorMade Advisory Board.

Eric
Eric Laporte, Head Professional Club de golf Montcalm

Q: What sets TaylorMade apart from other brands?

A: Always a pioneer in innovation. A team of young and dynamic Staff-professionals who use social networks to be part of the TM family. Other companies are more out of fashion lacking pride in their staff!!

Q: What is the No. 1 reason staff professionals should aspire to be an Advisory Board Member?

A: To have a voice, to be able to express itself on what the company can do or does good. Not just being a yes man but being someone who can make TaylorMade stand out from other companies. brings his passion to the highest Canadian level

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share?

A: Being part of the TaylorMade family is a privilege and should be perceived as such. putting his name at the bottom of a company equipment contract comes with commitment and dedication. I want the company to continue to impress me year after year so that I can share this passion with my clients.

Q: What advice would you give to other TaylorMade staff professionals who want to continually evolve as a professional?
A:
"I believe we have the best jobs in the world. Sure, it can be demanding at times, there can be unrealistic member expectations or even some members that simply don’t see eye to eye with. That being said, those scenarios exist at every club across the country. We have the opportunity to work outside everyday, engage with people who love golf, and grow your network with highly educated and successful people. Continue to set goals that you would like to achieve, and work towards achieving them. Find a Golf Professional who you share the same passion with and ask them how questions. Create a relationship with them, and hold yourself accountable on reaching your goals."

Q: What is the No. 1 reason staff professionals should aspire to be an Advisory Board Member?
A:
"We have a very unique group of golf professionals on the Advisory Board and we all share one same goal. We want to exceed our members and their guests expectations. The number one reason staff professionals should aspire to be an Advisory Board Member is if you want to grow your brand, influence marketing and product decisions, network with some of the best golf professionals in the country, this group is designed to do so."

Q: What sets TaylorMade apart from other brands?
A: "There are many golf brands that we sell in our golf shop. All brands are very good, and we appreciate what they bring to the table as partners. I do believe however, that Taylor Made sets themselves apart from their competition. I feel like our partnership is more of a family. From their marketing support, their customer service and their excellent product, Taylor Made is simply the best."
