Solid feel, reliable speed delivery, good eye line and the dark color of the putter head relaxes my eyes. Am able to deliver solid strikes on putts from fringe and long-distance putts confidently.
Takes a little getting used to. The ball comes off the face hot. But once you get dialed in there is no better putter! IMO

Head cover is Velcro, not magnetic like other TM putters I've had in the past. It may seem trivial but the magnets make for a much more premium feel and quiet operation.

Picked this up at PGATSS last weekend, and very excited about it going in the bag. Actually almost bought it the first time I rolled it. Took me two more visits to believe it was really that good. Put the ball right on line for me, and my distance control is really immediately improved. Have been gaming Newports and Ansers for several years, loved the SC feel and the Ping roll, but this really puts it all together. Was ready to make the switch to face balance and was in the store to test Fastback, Futura MB, BB40, and Spider. Happened on the Mullen 2 and the great finish caught my eye, then I noticed it sits down right into square (huge plus for me - great cue and confidence inspiring), and then I noticed the swing/feel and impact/feel. It's a great balance of characteristics, and I really like the weighting. The added plus is the removable weight system. Bottom line.. rolled it head to head against each of the putters listed above and personally felt it was clearly better than the others. So far I can also say my impressions are holding up after two practice green visits. I really think TM hit a home run with this model, and that's saying a lot bc I've been a die hard SC guy and did not see this one coming.
I previously used a Scotty Cameron M2 Mallet putter. The shape is nearly identical between the two, honestly. The difference for me, though, is that the pure roll insert that Taylormade has gives me much better distance control and feel while also giving the ball a more true roll with little conscious effort to do it. I've only played two rounds with it so far, but I'm strongly considering parting ways with the Scotty already.
