I bought these 2 weeks ago and immediately went to the driving range. It didn't go well and i was slightly nervous as i was scared i spent so much money on something that wasn't gonna work for me. But I played 1 golf day since and a friendly with friends. I won both days. It took a time to get dialed into how these clubs wanted to be treated. With my previous set (20 years old), I had to do all the work. No technology, no forgiveness. Now, I do 80% of the work, and let the m5's help me a little with distance and forgiveness I enjoy the game so much more. I have gained about half a club in distance. Very nice. Because my old set was so old, ANY upgrade would probably have felt huge. But the m5's just fits me SO MUCH BETTER!!! I wanted a game- improvement iron that didn't look too bulky! The m5's are the perfect in- between between game improvement and pro irons

My irons arrived today. I was literally on my way to the golf course when fedex pulled up. I quickly swapped out my new M5s for my old Cleveland irons and ran off to the course. I ordered the 4-pw set with steel stiff shafts. I played 18 holes without warming up because I was running a little late. I couldn’t believe how impressive these irons played. I wasn’t prepared for the amount of distance I gained, it took me a few holes to gauge that in comparison to my old irons. More impressive was the ball flight and the absolute forgiveness. It didn’t seem to matter where I hit the ball on the club face, it was generally straight and far! The 7-pw would just stop on the green. This gave me a lot more confidence to go for the pin as opposed to trying to formulate a landing area with my old clubs based on how much they released. The 4-5 irons have always been a little troublesome for me, the M5 4,5,6 irons fly. The go far and are unbelievably forgiving. Overall, couldn’t be more pleased. Good job Taylormade

Love the new M5 Irons. Still getting used to them as im switching from old TM Burners but these are a great improvement already. Seeing an extra 10-15 yards on each iron. Highly suggest getting the set that includes the AW, perfect for shots about 100 yards out.
