Nick Dunlap made history Sunday winning The American Express to become the first amateur to win a PGA TOUR event in 33 years. Dunlap’s record-setting weekend featured his Qi10 LS 9.0° driver, P·7MC irons and Milled Grind 4 wedges.
The 20-year-old Alabama sophomore shot a record-breaking 60 on Saturday to take a three-stroke lead into the final round. His round matched the lowest round by an amateur since at least 1983.
After going out in even par, Dunlap’s drive on the 14th hole went 271-yards into the fairway and then he hit his approach from 129-yards to 10-feet to make birdie. Then, after a 331-yard drive on 16 with his Qi10 LS driver, Dunlap came up clutch going up and down from below the green with his Milled Grind 4 wedge and made the 11-foot putt.
FINAL FEW HOLES
Dunlap finished the final round BLANK in driving distance average BLANK.
