It's April, and we find ourselves in a familiar location. The venue remains the same but there have been some subtle tweaks to the course. It's a similar storyline with TaylorMade's Season Opener Staff Bag, Headcovers and TP5/x pix golf balls.
Over the last several years, golfers have rushed to get their hands on the classically designed capsule that marks the unofficial start of the golf season - much like they do when the gates open on Thursday morning.
Where we've found inspiration in tradition, and that theme remains the central to these designs, we've pushed the boundaries to deliver elevated aesthetics across the board. Let's unearth the design details in this years kit.
We've energized green throughout the collection, most notably in the iridescent finish of the staff bag. It reflects the course's lush landscape as well as the championship adornment. On the side of the bag and on the putter headcovers you will see “The 88th”, a subtle nod to the 88th playing of golf’s first major of the year.
This installment of the Season Opener will bring all golf fans together to bask in these traditions and witness greatness in Augusta. A shout out to the famous three-hole stretch of 11, 12, and 13 is sure to catch your attention on the handle as well as the Azaleas that have become synonymous with the course design that are featured on the bag.
While the outside of the bag is steeped in traditions of the Season Opener, the inside offers a sweeter detail for golf fans. The inner linings of the bag, as well as the headcovers, feature countless peaches as a nod to Georgia, which plays host to the tournament every year.
The collection features a driver, fairway and rescue headcover with a combination of the iridescent green and classic white on the front and an all-white back. The Spider headcover stands out with a perfectly placed peach over the green magnetic closure on the backside, while the green and white blade headcover also tips its cap to the 88th playing of the tournament.
Ripe for the picking, these all-new TP5 and TP5x pix Season Opener golf balls are here just in time for Spring. Each 5-layer Tour ball features unique placements of Peaches to deliver juicy visual feedback and alignment. Each fresh batch comes in a fuzzy, textured box, signifying that you've picked 'em at just the right time of the golfing season.
Team TaylorMade’s Tommy Fleetwood will play the TP5x pix Season Opener balls during competition with his custom No. 19.
