Team TaylorMade is ready to go in Augusta headlined by Scottie Scheffler’s chase to capture his third victory at this tournament. With two wins already in 2025, Rory McIlroy is also in major championship form as he looks to complete the career grand slam, while Collin Morikawa and Tommy Fleetwood are both coming off a T3 finish in 2024.
I took a deep dive into stats and trends for Scottie, Rory, Collin and Tommy to better understand what to watch for in Augusta. Here are the 10 stats to know.

The world number one and defending champion has no shortage of statistics he leads over the last three years of the tournament. Scottie has finished first, T-10 and first in the last three tournaments. Along the way, he not only has the most holes under par, but has been the best at avoiding bogey or worse. In total, he leads in these eight categories over the last three years.

Pick your preferred statistic and Scottie Scheffler has done it better than the field at this event. Since his debut in 2020, Scottie has outpaced the field in five major statistical categories. While Scottie's stats themselves are impressive, the margins against the field in each category are even more noteworthy.

For the first time in his career, Rory McIlroy has won twice on U.S. soil in the calendar year before getting to the first major of the year. He also has his best PGA TOUR season scoring average and Strokes Gained putting average – among years he qualified statistically – heading to Augusta.
Rory's Ranks Entering Augusta
- Career-Best Scoring Average: 69.28
- Career-Best Strokes Gained: Putting: +0.59
- Best Strokes Gained: Total Since 2019: +2.32

Another way to break down the complete nature of Scheffler’s performance: he is the only player to average 0.75 Strokes Gained or more per round with his play off the tee, approaching the green and around the green since his debut in 2020.
Strokes Gained Per Round Since 2020
- 5th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee: +1.01
- 8th in Strokes Gained: Approach: +0.81
- 4th in Strokes Gained: Around the Green: +0.79

Collin Morikawa is the definition of ‘trending’ at this event, gaining 2.56 total strokes per round the last three years.
Score to Par
- First Two Starts: -1
- Last Three Starts: -12
SG: Total Per Round
- First Two Starts: +0.51
- Last Three Starts: +2.56

- First Two Starts: 46.5%
- Last Three Starts: 58.9%

In 2024, Tommy Fleetwood was one of just two players to gain multiple strokes in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, Approach, Around the Green and Putting. Fleetwood was also one of just three players last year to gain at least five strokes with his ball striking (shots off the tee + approach) and with his short game (around the green + putting). The other two finished first and second.
In his first seven career starts in Augusta, Fleetwood averaged 3.5 bogeys or worse per round. That was cut in half last year, when he made just seven all week. Fleetwood, on average, lost 0.16 strokes per round with his approach play at the Masters from 2017 through 2023. A year ago, he gained nearly a full stroke with his approaches per round with +0.99.

Scheffler has averaged 2.69 Strokes Gained: Total in his career at this event – the best of any player all-time with 20 or more rounds played. His scoring average is also the best all-time among players with 20+ rounds.
- 1st in Scoring Average: 70.40
- 1st in Strokes Gained: Total: +2.69

Speaking of trending, check out Collin’s year-to-year improvements on the greens at this event.
Strokes Gained: Putting Ranks at Masters
- 2020: 59th
- 2021: 45th
- 2022: 32nd
- 2023: 20th
- 2024: 8th

Scheffler is a combined 11 strokes better in relation to par than any other player since making his tournament debut five years ago.
Best Cumulative Score to Par Since 2020
- 1st: Scottie Scheffler -32
- 2nd: -21
- 3rd: -15

To no surprise, nobody has driven the ball better and gained more strokes off the tee at this event since 2015 than Rory McIlroy:
- Rory McIlroy: 1.24
- 2nd: 1.15
- 3rd: 1.11
- 4th: 1.04
